Transparency - Perspex and Projection

Words such as 'light' and 'transmission' have come up frequently in my reading. My main work on this course to date has been with perspex and projection and this seems very relevant to this current line of study. Below > Images of the last main piece of work I did before starting this final major project. I hung the perspex and projected upwards through it to create an image, which I then had digitally printed as a repeat pattern. I think that something similar could really work for this piece to produce a textile design for one of the curtains.

Below > Shelves made from the plumbing materials and clear perspex, with coloured perspex objects arranged on it. I have not tried projecting through it yet as I need to make it more stable, (I might just have to prop it up temporarily while I produce the images).
I chose to make a shelving unit as it is a method of organisation that can be found both in the domestic and public realms. The idea of controlled arrangement also seems relevant as a reference to design to shape our behaviour in the public spaces.
