Defining a Personal Space

> Thinking about 2D or more insubstantial ways of interrupting a public space to create private spheres. Floor markings.

^ I was so excited when I discovered the work of Andrea Zittle ^ It is so diverse and her work touches on all the areas I am most interested in - design> interior, furniture, textiles, clothes, graphics... She demonstrates an active challenge to the division between art and design and seems to follow a similar vein as the Bauhaus movement in the assertion of the concept 'art as life'.
In 1992 she set up A–Z Administrative Services, a company which aimed to streamline domestic objects and rituals, as a front for her practice.
Below> description from her own website.

AN INSTITUTE OF INVESTIGATIVE LIVING

Influenced by this I think that I will direct my investigation towards a study of the social implications and intentions of design within public and private spaces.
